Whether You're New to Social Media or You Think You Know It All, Attend the Telesummit to Shorten Your Path to Success in 2010

I attend trade shows, conferences and virtual events just to remain on the cutting edge. To make this possible, I set aside 10% of my business revenue just for continuing education. No matter how much I know, I continue feeding my mind with new ideas.

I encourage you to attend the 2010 Social Media Telesummit as part of your continuing education. Whether you consider yourself an expert in social media or if you're a newbie, the 2010 Social Media Telesummit will prepare your business for incredible growth.

In this tough economy, it can be difficult to get away and attend conferences. You have to pay for entry into the event, then you have to spend money on your flight, your hotel and of course, your meals. You could easily spend $1500 to $3000 out of your own pocket to attend an event like the 2010 Social Media Telesummit if it were held at a conference center.

Instead, you get cutting edge and innovative social media tips all from the comforts of your home or office. No complicated webinar software to download, just pick up your phone, dial the number and access code and you're connected to a stellar event.

What Makes This Virtual Event Different?

1 – Get Social Media Support in Your Very Own Mastermind Group

There's no better way to understand social media than to apply what you're learning in a supportive environment. That's why those who choose Plan B, C or D will be assigned to a mastermind group of no more than 4 other attendees. Each evening, you meet with your small group to define actions items and share those "a-ha" moments.

2 – Network in the Private Online Forums

Unlike other events where you meet and greet using a discussion forum, you will be invited to a private group in Facebook where you can network with speakers and other attendees.

3 – Participate in a Special Collaborative Project

You'll be invited to collaborate and contribute to my next book which will feature stories of how companies have overcome their social media mistakes. This book is 3-years in the making and you'll join me and past Social Media Telesummit alumni as we put together this much needed resource. You get to see how I prepare a product for launch, plus how I use social media as part of my marketing tool. Not only that, but you get to sell the finished product on your own blog or website and share in the book's profits. Only those who choose Plan D will be invited to collaborate and contribute to this book.

4 – No Selling, Only Teaching

Like you, I've attended events where speaker after speaker go on stage, entertain the audience with funny stories, then sell an expensive item to an exhausted crowd. The 2010 Social Media Telesummit is different. Each speaker will teach you a skill, tool or technique in 60 minutes. While they may spend a wee bit at the end of their session sharing with you how you can follow up with them, the focus will be on teaching you a specific skill. No cheerleading and no theory - just solid advice from experts who have applied their techniques to their own business or their clients.

5 – Design Your Social Media Action Plan

Getting so much information at once can be overwhelming. That's why you'll be invited to a 90 minute strategy session 2 weeks after the Telesummit ends. Join me as I coach you on how to design your 90 Day action plan for social media success.

6 – Get Laser Coaching During the Hot Seat

Each evening, you have an opportunity to book a 10-minute laser coaching session with Leesa Barnes or any of the other social media coaches. If you have a confidential business question that you don't want others to hear, choose Plan D so you can easily book a laser coaching session during the live event. While your peers huddle in small groups, you'll get individual (and private) attention from a social media coach.

Still Have Questions About the Live Telesummit Format? Here's What You Need to Know

1 – The Live Event is Held Over the Phone

After you register for the Telesummit, you will receive a conference bridge number and an access code. On the day and time of the sessions, just pick up your phone, dial the numbers and you'll be connected to the event. Long distance charges apply. Or, if you have high speed Internet access, you can stream the live sessions through your browser.

2 – The Live Event is 3 hours a Day Over an 8 Day Period

The Telesummit begins on Tuesday January 19, 2010 and ends Thursday January 28, 2010 (weekends excluded). We start at 12:00pm EST (New York time) each day and end at 3:00pm EST (New York time). There are also six evening mastermind sessions at 8:00pm EST (New York time) every evening of the Social Media Telesummit (except Thursday January 28, 2010).

3 – Interaction During the Live Event Is Encouraged

The sessions will be muted to achieve the highest level of call recording, but that doesn't mean you can't ask questions. At times during the session, the call will be unmuted to allow for questions. You can also use Twitter and Facebook to send your questions to me and I'll ask the speaker on your behalf.

Already Booked for Meetings or a Vacation When the Live Calls Take Place? No Problem! You Can Listen to the Recordings Anytime At Your Leisure

I'd love it if you can join us live for each session. That way, you can ask the speakers questions and take part in the interactive events.

But I understand if you can't join us live. Vacations, meetings, even living in a different timezone can prevent you from attending the live sessions during the afternoon.

The good news is that each session will be recorded. The recordings will be posted 24 hours after the live session ends. Whether it's 3am Tokyo time or 10am Los Angeles time, you can playback the recordings whenever you like.

There's nothing to download. Just login to the Private Members' Area, turn up your speakers or plug in your headphones, then click on the play button.

Have a question about the content? Want to interact with other attendees? Not a problem. Just go to the forums in the Private Attendees' Area and leave your comments or questions there. You can interact with other attendees on your own schedule. It's that easy!

**Please Note** The recordings will not be available for sale after January 29, 2010. If you return from vacation on January 30th and decide to register for the Social Media Telesummit on that date to access the recordings, you're out of luck. The register link will disappear on January 30th.

So, register your spot right now. That way, you can listen to the recordings once you return from vacation or have a spare moment in your day.

Want to Download the Recordings? Here's How...

During the Telesummit, you can listen to the recordings by going to the Private Members' Area. Just login, turn up your speakers and click the play button. You can review any of the sessions you missed.

Social Media TelesummitIf you want to download the recordings to your computer or to your portable MP3 player to listen while you're running errands or traveling, you can:
  • Download them directly from the Private Members' Area;

  • Or, subscribe to the RSS feed where they will be delivered to you one by one;

  • Or, get all the recording shipped to you on a portable MP3 player (similar to the one you see above which is what attendees got last year)
If you'd the option to download the recordings, choose Plan C or D. If you'd like the recordings shipped to you on a portable player, choose Plan D.

Get Your Seat for Free!
